
Day 1: Volcanic Murmers

We head our of Nairobi early and get comfortable with the bikes as we pass through Dagoretti Forest and into the Rift Valley. As we drop off the Nairobi Plateau, the temperature increases and the landscape changes from lush to arid, before climbing again up to Mt Suswa.
​
We have a tour of the lava tunnels and bat caves before heading to the crater's edge for lunch over looking on of the best example of a shield volcano there is.
After lunch we head out of the crater and north toward Hell's gate national park where there's a chance to see some game in the wild.
​
That evening is spent on the shores of Lake Naivasha.

Day 2: Bike Safari

We take an early morning boat ride on the lake to see some Hippos and the amazing bird life Naivasha has to offer.
After a hearty breakfast, it's back on the bikes and off to explore the Mau Escarpment where we climb to 3000m with views over Lake Naivasha and Rift Valley.
​
We have lunch overlooking Lake Elementaita in the shade of acacia trees before exploring Soysambu conservancy where you have the chance to ride alongside buffalo, giraffe, zebra and maybe even some lion if we're lucky. ​
​
Once you're had your fill, we head out of the conservancy and toward Maili Saba where we'll spend the evening overlooking the Menegai Crater.

Day 3: Valley Views

Today is all about enjoying the ride and taking in the sights. It's a good day to take a break from the off-roading and enjoying twisting mountain roads instead.
As we leave Maili Saba we take a trip though the heart of the Menegai Crater, before setting our sights on the Kerio Valley. ​
​
A lazy lunch in Eldama Ravine before entering the valley proper and exploring one of it's waterfalls in the afternoon.
​
That evening is spent sipping cold beers looking over the valley from one of it's best viewpoints.
Day 4: Of Churches & Lakes

A big day of riding through some of the most epic and varying scenery on off.
The morning sees us head north along the edge of the Kerio Valley escarpment with stunning views across the valley to our right. As we approach the Cherangani hills you'd be forgiven for thinking you're in South East Asia. Thick tropical rainforest with rivers and waterfalls everywhere.
Lunch from Wewo Church and the best view in the country before heading down the famous Elgeyo Escarpment road and into the contrasting arid landscape at the bottom of the valley, where we head east toward Lake Baringo.

That evening, after a long ride see us take a night of luxury at a spa resort.


Day 5: Mountains and Forests

The morning see us turn our noses south toward home, but not before a brilliant day of changing scenery and climates.
​
In the morning we ride past Lake Bogoria and through the heart of the Rift Valley, before climbing out and onto the plateau that runs close to the Aberdare mountain range.
​
We take the quiet route home past Mt Kipiri before cutting through the Gatamaiyo forest and through the valleys and tea plantations local to Nairobi and home. It's a lovely, gentle day to round off a beautiful ride and adventure.
